Sixty government and wine sector representatives from around the world participated in the three-day meeting of the World Wine Trade Group (WWTG) held in Santa Rosa, California, USA. The executive director of Georgian Wine Association, Tina Kezeli, was the moderator of the group, she spoke about Georgia and introduced the Georgian wine sector to the audience.

FIVS meetings were also held in Santa Rosa, USA in November 2022, attended by representatives of the Georgian Wine Association . Georgia hosted the WWTG for the first time in 2014 and in 2023 will become the chairing country of the World Wine Trade Group (WWTG) for the second time. FIVS meeting will also be held in Georgia in 2023.

The World Wine Trade Group (WWTG) is a group of government and wine sector representatives from the wine producing countries of Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Georgia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United States and Uruguay.

Founded in 1998, the group aims to promote international trade in wine through information sharing, discussion of regulatory issues in wine markets and joint action to remove trade barriers. The group is guided by principles that promote the wine trade and protect consumers, benefiting both wine exporting and importing countries.

FIVS is a global non-governmental organization created to serve the wine, spirits and beer sectors from around the world on public policy issues. Its members are manufacturers, distributors, importers, exporters and trade associations.
