MERANO WINE FESTIVAL was born as a story of passion for wine between friends. In 1992 the first Merano International Wine Festival (MIWF) took place in the halls of the Hotel Palace in Merano. Merano Wine Festival represents a staple Italian and international wine event. While born as a wine festival in Merano, its vocation is now international as it has expanded into a meeting point for wine professionals, businesses, and wine connoisseurs. The name of this wine festival is already evoking and brings the idea of meeting together to talk Wine. In June 2022, Merano Wine Festival crossed the border of Italy and came to Georgia. MERANO WINE FESTIVAL IN GEORGIA will be annually held in Georgia. Merano wine festival at Chateau Mukhrani will be an exciting stage where Georgian and international wine producers with exclusive and rare wines will be offered and presented to wine lovers and experts. Furthermore, guest will be guided through the diverse processes and approaches as Chateau Mukhrani offers historic, cellars and XIX-century winery tours. This will be the best occasion for people to meet directly with winemakers again and for winemakers to present their wines to the public and wine professionals. The festival hosts various food and wine master classes and tasting events.
