Wine Company SHUMI was established in 2001 and is situated in the historical center of Georgian wine-making Tsinandali Village, region Kakheti. “Shumi” title has an old origin, which means genuine, pure, undiluted wine.
The company owns vineyards in all major vine-making microzones of Georgia. The assortment of the company includes red and white, dry and naturally semi-sweet wines, organic (bio) wine, wine brandies, “Chacha” (grappa), etc.
The company founded the first museum of Wine and Vine, with a collection of around 105 foreign vine varieties and 300 Georgian ones, rare Georgian varieties of grapes among them. The museum contains ancient wine vessels discovered in archaeological excavations across Georgia.
Shumi has participated in different competitions, where it has taken golden, silver, bronze Medals as well as diplomas and certificates.
